I guess I would describe myself as a very nervous, mistrusting individual that had little interest in moving. However, I am balanced by my husband who convinced me that it was "the time" to purchase a new home. He located a few properties that we were interested in looking at and of course the first agent he contacted sent no reply back to us––ever. He decided to contact Sherry Rich and I think that she was the biggest blessing in disguise.
We sent her a list of five homes that we were interested in viewing and within 24 hours she had arranged for us to go through each of the homes. At our first meeting she totally had me sold that she was the person for us. She is incredibly knowledgeable and assisted in guiding our entire process. The first house that we looked at ended up being the home that we purchased.
She assisted in choosing our home inspector and I couldn't have been happier. He took us through every inch of that house. He told us about every appliance, the furnace, the humidifier, and any other thing you can think of and he described in detail how each of them worked and how they rated against other appliances (high-end vs. low-end). He waled around the outside and told use the outstanding things about the property and the things we should be wary of. Her recommendation couldn't have been better. Our new property also needed radon remediation, which we knew nothing about, but she again guided us quickly and efficiently through the process. While the owners chose the contractor to do the remediation, she assisted us in understanding what was being done and what was acceptable or what we should expect.
Sherry also made suggestions to us for lending and settlement. Again, we couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. Our lender, without physically meeting either of us, walked us through the process with such ease. I kept sending him emails thinking he must need something else from us, but as it turned out, he and his staff were so efficient up front, I only needed to provided statements as we neared our settlement date. The settlement office was also of a very high caliber. We had all of our questions answered and we felt our hands were held throughout the entire process.
I reserve my highest accolades for few people and Sherry Rich truly deserves them. We are hoping that she will sell our other house in the future and we hope to be able to refer her to friends. You have a real treasure with Sherry Rich on your staff. Her integrity is very high, her knowledge is top-notch, and her ability to make you at ease is not comparable to many. We can't thank her enough for making this transaction move as smoothly as it did and for making such valuable suggestions to us along the way.
